[information]
- The general blue paint color is officially called pale green color, and it is the paint color applied to the special towing machine of the express train [swallow] [hato] during Tokaido main line electrification in 1956. Besides, there were several test paint colors, but this pale green color was adopted, and from the image of long extended train and paint color, it was familiar with the nickname of [Big Guy].
- As a dedicated towing machine, this venerable paint color was given to 25 selected from the state-of-the-art EF 58 form at the time. These EF 58 type had various forms, such as manufacturing process and remodeling received in the traveling lane which was active earlier.
