- Initial production of EF 58, a format that was designed as a cargo locomotive by changing the design of the vehicle scheduled for Unit 32 to Unit 34.

- The deck section has changed from the simplified structure of the former EF 58 to the one prepared for cascade.
- Unit 32 of the later years is prototype. We will reproduce features such as the coil spring of the previous truck, drainer, headlight pedestal etc. It can be assembled as Type 34 by selection of parts. PS 14 Pantograph attached.
