Not really feeling this one. Where's her passion?
2:Chriz: 2013/09/12 14:25:11
GSC made asuna look like 27 instead of 17. I prefer a smile on her face over a serious looking one.
This one might pair with kirito thou, if they happen to make one.

And awkward posing with the sword again.
4:none: 2013/09/12 15:39:52
She looks most like someone cosplaying Asuna.. she is showing a nice amount of leg with that short skirt though!
5:Nope: 2013/09/12 16:57:58
Pretty sure all of them are her in her KotB outfit.. Also the pose is stupid for a rapier and she looks 30.
6:Chriz: 2013/09/12 22:58:13
Also, her legs seemed to be a lot smaller than her body. That made her look pretty top-heavy. Her skirt and clothing are very detailed though. The shading of the hair will have to wait till the figure is actually released.
I'm sure the quality would be 100% given its a GSC figure. It may look awesome and regal. However the figure lacks cuteness, which was ironically supposed to be one of the selling points as described in the description.

Damn thats one awesome fig!!! Pre Ordered because of the Amiami issue with this figure.
8:none: 2013/09/13 5:43:41
I didnt think Asuna was supposed to be a "cute" character, so nothing wrong with her figures not being cute. I never thought of "cute" about her character in the anime, but i havnt read the novels
9:Chris S: 2013/09/13 10:25:32
I believe this figure will end up in the bargin bin next summer
10:layfon: 2013/09/13 11:15:27
aside from the inconsistencies with the original art, this figure looks pretty high quality as expected from Goodsmile.
11:none: 2013/09/13 11:22:42
It bothers me that none of the photos are of the back of the figure
12:iSupercell: 2013/09/13 15:33:24
They based her pose on the first light novel cover illustration. I personally think they did a pretty good job making the 2D illustration into 3D. The legs are a bit different because they had to test things to match it with the pose (since the original illustration barely show the legs). As expected of GSC, the quality of this figure is the best I have seen so far for Asuna. The details of her armour and Lambent Light look great. You can see more pictures on mikatan's blog.

Being one who hasn't seen the anime yet. I like this figure. I think I will pick it up. I plan on watching the anime at a later date.
14:nuri: 2013/09/20 15:11:33
this one i think is one of the best ones. i like that darker shading and pose. i prefer her serious face.
15:No Name: 2013/09/21 6:56:21

They based her pose on the first light novel cover illustration and in my opinion she looks stunning and don't judge me but I don't want to have an Asuna that looks like a 10 year old child or a wh*re (new wives always says yes ver.)
16:Innis: 2013/09/25 16:04:39
Yeah the facial expression is missing. :( Saddens me because the pose and work GSC did was pretty good.
17:stupid pose: 2013/09/29 5:23:46
she reminds me of this guy....
18:BatotoDa: 2013/10/29 18:20:42
not look like Asuna at all, GSC fail me this time
19:sigma 6: 2013/11/11 1:25:50
y'all need to calm down,if you don't like her then don't buy her. Or go with kotobukiya Asuna. I keep seeing a lot of ppl complaining about her looking like a 30 year old. So what? Geez you like your girls young don't you? I for one like her "30 year old look"

20:Discoceris: 2014/04/17 5:28:13
@sigma 6

I agree with you. There's so many Asuna's out there, the negative comments
here are just people poo-pooing over nothing. This is still better than Freeing
and a few others out there. They can always spend 1,000 yen more on Max
Factory version or spend double on a sold out version on Ebay...
21:Chriz: 2014/07/11 20:32:47
For some reasons, the production version of her looks a lot more graceful than the pictures.

Maybe worthwhile if it gets bargain binned.

More than 140 units reserved of this item .WHY ?
What is especiall about her ?
In my opinion :
1- small scale 1/8 she is not 1/5 or 1/4
2- nothing especial about her body very slim no S...
3- not attractive like many other figures
Save your money
23:Chriz: 2014/07/12 10:06:22
@Confused: its not 140 units reserved. Its 140 ppl wish listed.
Not attractive or nothing special? It is the front cover of the manga or whatever it was on. It is perhaps as authentic as one would want it to be. My only concern back then was Asuna looking very serious and older than her age. However the additional pics suggested otherwise.
There are merits in it being small. For one, the shipping fee won't break your bank.
