[Actual vehicle]
- In the National Railways, we developed DE 10 for mid-size diesel locomotives in 1966 for local use and replacement.
- A 3-axis truck with a special structure was adopted to achieve both traction force and axial load restriction, and the number of dynamic axes became 5 axes for the first time in the National Railways.
- In the following year, DE 15 for snow removal appeared, succeeded in axle weight reduction independently of Russell head, and he was active in the district line section.
- In the 2500 series, heating SG is omitted and the engine output becomes DML 61 ZB with 1350 PS, and it is a group equipped with single head double head.
- 2516 is active as a replacement vehicle for the JR Hokkaido Nairpo factory.
