- [Revamoa class] destroyer is a 1500 ton destroyer following the Benson class which is an improved version of Sims class.
- Benson class is different in shape from the engine and chimney cross section, but size and performance are almost the same, basically it is the same type.
- In this class, 64 ships were built from 1940 to 43, and it was the latest destroyer at the beginning of the Pacific War.
- It is active as the core of US navy destroyer during the war.
- As the importance of anti-aircraft battle increased in the latter part of the war, anti-aircraft weapons were strengthened by removing the rear 12.7 cm gun and the torpedo launch pipe.
- After the war a small number has been transferred to Taiwan, Japan, Turkey.
- The name ship's [Livermore] was completed in October 1940, and he was active in the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean.
