Hi! This is Tomeko. Have you ever heard of "Itasha"? "Itasha" is a name for a car decorated with characters of anime, manga, and so on. Kosaka Tamaki RX-8 Type S (Model Car)  Believe it or not, you can see the real Itasha here in Japan! It's so flashy that nobody can ignore it. Well, I think It's quite recent that we can see Itasha here and there, I wonder if the following is a "relative" of Itasha. Decoration Truck Fleet - Kabukimono (RC Model)  In Japanese, we call it "Deco-tra", which is short for "Decoration Truck". Some people call it "art truck", but well, it's flashy in any case. I think Itasha and Deco-tra have something in common. Why do they decorate their vehicles painstakingly? That's a very interesting question from a cultural point of view. For Deco-tra lovers, I'll recommend the followings: Decoration Truck Sticker Set Vol.1 (Model Car)  Decoration Truck Sticker Set Vol.2 (Model Car)  These are decals to decorate Deco-tra. (What a tautology!) You might be impatient to know the meanings of the words on the stickers, but don't worry about it. Trust me, these words are almost nonsense. They are like Kanji or Chinese characters on your T-shirt. Just enjoy 'em! |
