Hi, this is KAPINOTSUKA. Hey, have a look at these images ! B Train Shorty 205 Series Saikyou Line   Today I'm going to talk about Saikyo Line. You can enjoy it ! Saikyou Line is a railway line from KAWAGOE station in Saitama Pref. To OSAKI station via OMIYA station and TODA station in SAITAMA Pref. And IEBUKURO station, SHINJUKU station and SHIBUYA station in TOKYO. Also you should remember it is green-coloured. Please refer to this route map of Saikyo Line I made. You would find there are many major stations on the line.  These are KATO's model trains of Saikyo Line on sale. Surprised ??? The following image can show you the truth.  Wow, we cannot find the name Saikyo Line like the case of KEIHIN TOHOKU Line ! Actually the official name of Saikyo Line doesn't exist and it is just something like a nickname showing a line consist of multiple official short lines. Between KAWAGOE station and OMIYA station is Kawagoe Line, betweem OMIYA station and AKABANE station is Tohoku Line, between AKABANE station and IKEBUKURO station is Akabane Line and between IKEBUKURO station and OSAKI station is Yamanote Line. Hmmmmm it is very confusing lol Now let me tell you some trivias about Saikyo Line. Trivia 1 SAI of SAIKYO comes from SAITAMA Pref. And KYO of SAIKYO comes from TOKYO. Trivia 2 A line running beside Yamanote Line is for freight trains. Trivia 3 A line between OMIYA station and AKABANE station was built with the line for TOHOKU SHINKANSEN Bullet train during the same period. Trivia 4 AKABANE Line used to be called Yamanote Line.
