11th International Model Railroad Convention Report (N-Gauge Diorama Display Pt.3)
Hey there everyone, this is Tominon.
This will be the last entry by me about the diorama displays at the 11th International Model Railroad Convention Report.

Let's take a look at the layout by Club Terminal!
It was a miracle world made by gentlemen who strive to enjoy model railroads.
(I apologize for the dark pictures.)

This was my favorite section.
They laid out the structures on top of an acryl (I think) board so you could see the subway trains passing through underneath!
Usually when you want to show subways in displays you show it from the side, but they made it visible from above by making the roads clear!

Buildings, and little things like vending machines.

It'd be neat if there really were see-through roads.

* Convenience Store (7-Eleven)

Gotta love seeing things you know.

A nice rural area with a long straight rail - fun to watch trains come closer and closer.

These huge wind turbines were spinning round and round.

Some rescue squad, some people taking pictures... What's going on here?

Greener pastures.

Horses frolic and munch as the Hokutosei zooms past.

That's it for Club Terminal's great display! It was really fantastic, with all kinds of fun things everywhere.

Bonus Section: Look What Else They Had There!

They had a section where you could ride on everyone's favorite tank engine!
This was presented by the Junior College Program (JCP) and involved a slow moving, ridable train.
The kids were loving it, and I wanted to join in the fun too.

Students took the roles of station workers, and Sir Topham Hatt, the Fat Controller, was actually their teacher!

And so, this report comes to an end here. There were lots and lots of other displays that just wouldn't fit!
This is an annual event and will happen again next year at Tokyo Big Sight, so check it out if you're interested and can make it.

Well then, see you next time!
I'll be reporting on Chara Hobby (Japanese site)!
