I had the opportunity to visit the Tomytec product announcement (In Tokyo) on the 19th.
So today, I will be sharing the outlines of new Tomix products that had been announced this time.
Before we get onto it, (I say this so often lately) please note that due to complicated reasons (copyright issues), we are unable to use the photographs of actual trains that had been used on the product info posters etc. We appreciate
your understanding.
- [Item No. Undecided] Series 225
The latest electric train of JR West, Series 225 has already been decided for production in N-Scale by Tomix.
On the resource sheet at hand, there is a photo of a Nos.0 car, but at the presentation, they had a photo of Nos.0 and Nos.5000, so I would assume they will produce them both.
The pricing, specifications, and release period etc. are not announced yet, so please wait for the info. that will come later.
- [3141] Private Container Type U18A (Coca Cola design)
The container that was used for transport of original solution by Coca Cola Japan, apparently was used in the period around year 1993~2000.
There is a slogan that says "Keep Japan Beautiful" at the space around the top quarter, and the remaining three quarters with the familiarized logo that says "Enjoy Coca Cola Coke".
I say this container is very stylish.

- [92403] JR DE10/50 Nostalgic View Train 4-Car Set
The Joyful Train of Gono Line, "Nostalgic View Train" will be renewed.
Having the top half colored yellow and the bottom half brown, this is a cute train.
The 4-car formation of its late years with the 2 observatory cars is to be productized. The middle car Ohafu 50-2000 will be newly produced too.
Also, the ventilator on the roof is to be made as a separate part.

- [92418] JR Series E259 Limited Express Train Basic 3-Car Set
- [92419] JR Series E259 Limited Express Train Add-on 3-Car Set
The specifications for "Narita Express" that had its release announced a while ago, has finally been revealed.
The first formation will be the prototype, with the car no. pre-printed. The add-on set will have the transfer sheet included.
The TN-Coupler will only be equipped on the driver’s cabin side, and headlight will be yellow light.

] [92983] JR Series E259 Limited Express Train 6-Car Set
Similarly, this is also the Narita Express, but this one is 6-car set will be a limited edition.
Equipped with TN-Coupler of all cars, and have two colors of headlight; white and yellow.
The car number will be compatible with transfer sheet.
Slated for summer.
So the difference seems to be that Basic/Add-on sets could be for beginners, and the 6-car set is a deluxe edition.
Now, the powered car for these are designed to be the Kuro E259 used as the leader car for train bound for Narita Airport.
The actual train is running as two 6-car formations joined to form a 12-car formation, but it’s up to you how you want to make your combination.

[92827] JR Series 209-500 Commuters Train (Musashino Line) 8-Car Set
The Series 209 No.500 that had been moved from Keiyo Line to Musashino Line will already be productized.
It will be released as an 8-car full formation set.

Also, the Sobu Line and Keihin Tohoku Line versions will also be renewed to match the Musashino Line version as well.

[92828] JR 209-500 Commuters Train Sobu Line 6-Car Set

[8943] JR Type Saha 209-500 Sobu Line
It was on the Chuo-Sobu Line that the Series 209 No.500 was first seen.
The Hobby Search staffs are using them every day as well.
As it will be turned into a model as the current specification, the skirt part will be the reinforced type. If you want to recreate the full formation, you will need get 4 single Saha as well as the basic 6-car set.

] [92980] JR 209-500 Commuters Train Keihin Tohoku Line 10-Car Set
The Series 209 No.500 that made its debut to the Sobu Line had a portion of it moved to Keihin Tohoku Line.
As there were various issues such as the introduction of E233, the Series 209 No.500 had been moved back to the Sobu Line, or re-transferred to the Keiyo Line.
And this set that has reproduced its appearance from the Keihin Tohoku days will be a limited edition 10-Car Set.

This blue and light green stripes on light gray base coloring had been used on the series 115 and 169 etc. of Nagano branch, with the start of Nagano Olympics. So this coloring became known as "Nagano Color" or "New
Shinshu Color" etc.
It has been a while for Tomix to revive them.

[92415] Shinano Railways Series 115 3-Car Set
With the Nagano Shinkansen (Hokuriku Shinkansen) beginning its service, the Shin’etsu Main Line that runs parallel to the shinnansen line had a portion that had the management changed to Shinano Railways, and along with this
change, the Series 115 with Shinano Railway coloring was born.
To reproduce the current specifications, the parts that were metallic gray in the older product will become dark gray. The photo is that of the old product, so you can get an idea of the product.

- [2734] J.N.R Type Re12000
The refrigerated car Type Re 12000 will be added to the 2 Shafted Freight Car Series as their new product.
"The hatch on the roof for ice loading will be accurately reproduced"... is all I remember strongly about its specifics... ^_^;;
