As the only 1:72 Destroid Tomahawk kit on the market, Wave's version is highly anticipated. Unfortunately Wave sets the price conservatively at 6800 yens but the kit is quite satisfactory after all (as a non-Bandai kit). The machine looks better than the old Arii version and the surface details are better, too.

I'll be betting that this kit will have the same hair issues like Jalbadaoh..anyways..nice to see koto will release his partner..but seriously..i looks more from SRW Mugen Exceed rather than the OGG original..XD

the original next of AC4. the lazer parts were some of the most sought after parts in the game, though easy to aquire. these guys take longer than gundams to build and details trumps it too. almost like an MG build but not an MG build. mobility on kotobukiya models arent that great, but the end result is a great looking piece. thank goodness i waited on this guy instead of the regular company Rosenthal next. all i wanted were those lazers, and maybe the stabilizer parts.

@ Kuro So the actual product will be similar to the Bandai Gundam kits where the plastic has a sheen?

A great kit, takes a LONG time to build (took me around 20 hours, my first AC model kit). Some pieces are small, sharp, and hard to put on the model. There are lots of points of articulation, and the detail is just incredible. Since it comes with bonus weapons, the weapon setup can be changed. It does have some balance issues because of the big weapons. Super glue is a good thing to have with you when constructing the kit. 4.5/5

@ Zanoza i think Connie speaks of the line of zoids Tomy/koto released, the motorized ones. These are a lot more complex. Also about having to paint it, I have the blade liger kit and the claws and teeth are molded in a beige color, not gold like they are suppose to be. Kotobukiya caters to modelers, not snappers, therefor the expect that by buying a koto kit you intend to paint it. It's only molded in basic colors.

instead of this model, i bought the "yellow" or "lancer" blue coloured model. this is my first model kit. never. this model, needs a lot of repainting. every piece needs to be painted. every joint piece of the kit, requires some of glue. and worst of all, the i was missing a metal piece in the model kit. and i had to improvise by using a paper pin to replace this missing metal piece. i am a big fan of the macross series, and building this kit was fun nevertheless.

Zanoza, I've built a kotobukiya model before and they are painted. Don't worry, you won't have to paint it yourself unless you want to add extra details like panel lines. When you build the zoid it will be red and silver.

First plamodel with painting. Good for practice painting. very good detail. Recommand who really liked cyber formula series and for who like to practice painting.

I got this model kit recently and like the previous AC model kits, it looks amazing. The kit is well modelled and is easy to assemble. (4-6 hours assembly only) Only minor drawback is that the hand knuckle holding the guns tend to fall off once in awhile. Overall this model kit is a must buy, especially for Armored Core fans.
