This is a report for the 31st Model Train Show held at Matsuya department store (Tokyo) from July 22 to 27.
Since I'm not a professional photographer, some pictures are not so clear. Please note that they might give you a different impression. Your understanding is very much appreciated.
TOMIX releases a "steam locomotive" for the first time in a long while. As a steam locomotive, C57-135 was the last regular train and is now preserved at the Railway Museum. Its release was first announced at Shizuoka Hobby Show of this year and has received an enthusiastic response.
|
C57-135 will be released in September. |

Fuji and Hayabusa, an express train with sleeping berths, was abolished in March of this year, mush to the people's regret. This is the last "blue train" connecting Tokyo and Kyushu, so why don't you embrace the sweet memories?

Series 209-500 was first used for the Sobu line, and then for Keihin-Tohoku line, and finally for Keiyo line. It's a rather unusual case that it has changed belt colors three times for a short period. TOMIX represents the Keiyo-line style with the enhanced skirt.
