So let's give it a shot, we will be looking forward to seeing your applications!

...and right about now, I'm sure many of you are wondering,
"so what exactly is this Matome thing and a Curator anyway?".
well, let's read on.

Whats a "Curator"?
As many of you are aware, a curator is the person in charge of museums or
art galleries etc. and their job includes specifying what should be put placed where.
However in modern days with vast amounts of information has been digitized and the world is overflowing with digital information, the term "Curator" points to people
that compiles information from their point of view to others seeking these information
(well at least in Japan anyway).

What is Matome?
Matome is a Japanese word meaning "compiling", "summarizing", or "grouping" things.
However, now days we use it as a term for articles that simply quotes information from various websites into one article.
The curator will need to source various bits of information of a specific theme,
scattered all over the internet, and summarizing the gathered quotes into one useful article.

This may sound a bit complicated, but to me I personally don't think
too deeply about this, but rather focus on...

Getting everyone in the world to know about my PASSION through Matome!!

So yeah, take it easy, I don't think you need to get super serious when making matome.
I just made a matome about the figurines I just love just like that.

I only made this matome thinking "there are really interesting ways to display stuff out there! Must tell everyone and try it out!",
and was happy to see that many people who read the matome felt the same way as I did, that "it seems interesting!" or "might give it a challenge" etc. so I think its really worth while.

So I think the merit of making matome is not for rewards, but for the pleasure
finding happiness in sharing your knowledge and findings with everyone else.

If you read all the way to the end and felt you want to try making a matome,
please do feel free to apply.

skill to live and survive.

Altight, time to call it a day.
See you next time!
