I see what you mean, at least as far as the face is concerned. The serious expression is a little better, but the smile on the other one is kind of off. Still, I think the pose fits (most male figures have odd poses, mind you) and I have nothing against the pants.
Ed is my favorite character in all anime / manga, and this is the best figure I've seen of him yet, so I'm definitely pre-ordering :P
However, I wish they'd make some other ones in the future - more accurate ones.
