- The CB class submarine is a 45t pocket submarine developed for attacking enemy anchorages.
- The Italian Navy ordered 72 CB-class submarines from Caproni, and 12 were built until Italy ended the war with the Allies. Republic) also nine ships were manufactured.
- In 1942, six CB-class submarines were dispatched overland to the Black Sea as part of the Italian Navy Expeditionary Force to support the German Navy on the Eastern Front when the German-Soviet War began.
