John Fowler & Co Engineers of Leathley Road, Hunslet, Leeds produced traction engines, ploughing implements and equipments as well as railway equipment. John Fowler was borh in Wiltshire in 1826, he is credited with the invention of steam driven ploughing engines.
This Fowler BB1 class 16nhp compound cylinder ploughing engine was built in 1919 and is No. 15334. It is named `Lady Caroline` and is registered NO 2045. Also included is a Fowler 4 furrow balance plough.
