What's wrong with velcro?
It was my birthday yesterday... the night of my 2Xth birthday, crying myself to sleep due to the fact that the entire family had forgotten of that fact...

So yeah, hi everyone, Tomeko here, reborn as Ver. 2.x!!

Anyway, here is the doll from Friday, Hirasawa Yui from Azone.

Today I intend to subtly add more pics and ramble on about the details.
Here is the Honeymoon t-shirt that appears in the anime (yeah its in jap).

Every time I see this shirt, it makes me wonder, "what is this shirt trying to tell us?"
Oh and just so you know, its reeeealy easy to make her wear this shirt, even for a doll beginner like me.
And that is because......

...the t-shirt uses Velcro. So E A S Y.

To clarify, the back part of the t-shirt can be opened, and closed with velcro.
Other than the T-shirts, the vest also uses velcro. *plays with velcro*

In the previous theory of doll dressing, you would have to remove the head n shoulders or arms of the doll and slip on the dress from the top, for the dresses which did not open at the front, such as t-shirts and vests etc. However, the use of velcro eliminates the need to remove unnecessary body parts, allowing us to dress the doll with ease.

But there is also a demerit for this convenience too. If you look at the doll from the back, the velcroed joint stands out a little, and you have to be careful with rough fabric like the tights, as the velcro might get caught on it. The velcro has been made not to hook onto get caught on other things a little, but I'm sure you want to treat your precious doll with care anyway.

So there are positive and negative sides to it, but it's a perfect gimmick for those of you who would like to start collecting dolls. Besides, you usually only see the front of the doll while displayed anyway.

The doll itself has been made with flexible body, so you can create a variety of poses.
Although the ranges of poses are limited compared to a flexible action figure, it's enough to dress up and recreate an atmosphere of daily life movement.

Although I was a little sad that you can't make them fold their legs...

...until I found this item.

- Pure Neemo Advance Series

*The image is that of Pure Neemo Advance B Type (Sitting pose) (Skin color / Shadow).

These body parts can be used with any dolls that that uses Pure Neemo as a base.
It can't be posed as much as the flexible body, but the joints looks natural and are made with specific poses.

You could use the flexible body for playing with, and use the Pure Neemo Advance for displaying. Flexible body for long sleeves, and Advanced for short sleeves, I'm sure you will come up with interesting combination and uses. Pure Neemo Advance is quite affordable (roughly around 1 or 2 doll dresses ish?), so check it out if you are interested!

That's it for today, hope to see you again!
