Hey there everyone, this is Tominon.
I just went to the product announcement event for industry by
KATO, one of the biggest train model makers.
So let's get on with the report!
...Or so I'd like to proceed...
But due to circumstances, I have to leave that for the next entry.
So today I'll be going over the location the event was at,
Hobby Center Kato!
Five minutes by foot from Ochiai Minami Nagasaki Station.
I had been told to look for a red train, so I walked while looking around...
Look!
The red train!
A real Keikyu Limited Express DeHa 230! There couldn't be a better sign!
I was filled with not only anticipation but anxiety, but continued up the stairs!
The very first thing I saw inside was a huge locomotive model.
This is actually a
5 inch gauge model!
In other words, 1/10! I'd love to see it run!
And this rare piece is the KATO panel that was used on the KATO train that ran the Saikyo Line!
The panel has everything you need to know about the KATO train, from its creation to behind the scenes.
Let's keep going, and take a look at
the second floor!
An overwhelming amount of models! It's like a museum!
An amazing dispay using
KATO buildings.
Further into the building.
Third floor!
This was a fun floor full of large displays.
There's even a display you can drive (after signing up for it).
Must be fun driving a train across this huge display.
When I get the money... I'm going to buy the
Saikyo Line and drive it...
What's that black object in the corner?
Godzilla!?
The
Fuji Limited Express cruises right on past, not giving a care.
(I apologize for the blurry photo)
The funny Mount Fuji drawings on the train are great.
So that was the internals of Hobby Center Kato!
It's not just a place to shop, but a place full of wonder and fun!
And this is just the beginning - next time will be the actual report on the new products!
We'll end with the face of Mr. DeHa. So boxy and cute!
See you all next time!
