Let’s take a closer look.
▼Tobu Railway Series 1800 Last Increase Car
Tobu Railway, a private railway company based in Kanto area can be separated into two lines. One is Isezaki line which starting out from Asakusa, another one Toujo line from Ikebukuro. Series 1800 was originally made for the rapid train “Ryomou-Go” on Isezaki, Kryu and Sano line appeared in 4 train cars formation at first then 6 cars in later.
This 1800 Last Increase Car is the lastly additional made ones. Different from others, it was made in 6 train cars formation and its air-conditioners, front lights, front glasses had been changed. These changes made it relatively modern looking among others.
It retired gradually after releasing its successor Series 200 and remodeled into type 300 and 350 for rapid train on Nikko line though, some of them had been sold to other companies or scraped. Only type 1819 preserved its outlooks in “Ryomou” era and is still working as a special train.
MICRO ACE had released series 1800 in N scale couple of years ago but that was a prototype. This one would be appropriate for displaying Tobu Isezaki line and Nikko line so if you already have type100 “Spacia” from TOMIX or Tobu cars from GREENMAX, MICRO ACE and TOMYTEC should keep your eyes on it.

Tobu Isezaki Nikko line and Tokyo Metro Hibiya line are sharing their lines from Mnamikurihashi to Nakameguro. This 20000 series group has been invented as successor of 2000 series, the first train car for mutual use.
The 20000 series is the first one from its group which has 18m length, 3 doors on both sides and 8 cars formation. Its body was made from light stainless except for front part that made from FRP. While the 2000 series has a door on its front, they put it aside on one side to take more space for driver’s sheet in 20000 series. It has a maroon color line as same as series 9000 and 10000.
After that 20050 series appeared with exterior speaker and automatic announcement function for the sake of reducing rush our problems in Hibiya line. Then 20070 series came out with refined design on the doors and air conditioners.
Same as Tokyo Metro 03 series, it will be retired in nearly future because of the plan that Tokyo Metro and Tobu railway will change their train cars soon.
By the way, I heard a certain rumor that there is a train considered as a same type in Shikoku district. 610 series in Iyo railway which has also has 3 doors, 18m length and made from stainless. Besides, they are manufactured by Alna sharyo, one of the manufacturers on Tobu 2000 series. The 610 series is using removed parts from Tobu 2000 series in its basement so they might have a certain relationship.
Anyway, it has been expected for long years from many train model fans. It’s a great news for subway fans and Tokyu Toyoko line fans too. Generally it’s used as local train so you can display with rapid and limited trains if you want to show them in Tobu line way.
▼Oshi16-0/Oshi16-2000
It is a dining car made in 1960’s with reusing SU-HA 32 passenger car. A dining car officially though, it was generally used for serving drinks and snacks in midnight train. It has buffet style kitchen, counter tables, and salon rooms, “running café” you may say. It also has air conditioner and micro wave and diesel generator equipped under the floor.
6 car has been made in total on this series in both steam heating style and electric heating one. They were used in “Suisei” ,“Ginga”,”Seto”,”Sanuki”, “Towada”,”Kitakami”, “Hokuto” and so on. Unfortunately passenger rapid trains changed into midnight trains so Oshi series had their use less and less. It’s all retired only 10 years after all. “It was too early to come” a certain train fan said.
Anyway, you could bring 10 series passenger cars from other manufacturers if you make those rapid train formation. Those passenger cars from 35 series and 43 series would be good too.
