Hien, or "Tony" as it was codenamed by the U.N., was the only fighter airplane of the
former Japanese army that had a liquid-cooled engine.

Hien is often considered among airplane aficionados to be the most beautiful fighter
of IJA.

Incidentally, its nickname "Hien" literally means "sparrow in the sky".
