Product Description
One of the few airplanes of the former Japanese army that was equipped with a liquid-cooled engine,
Hien, which literally translates into "a flying sparrow", was deployed in the 244 Sentai for home defense
against the formidable B-29.
However, too many problems with its engine meant too low availability of this fighter, making it less of a
threat to the U.N. pilots than it otherwise could have been.
Codenamed "Tony" by the U.N. and sometiimes referred to as the "Japanese version of Messerschmitt, "
just because of its looks.
This item is a semi-assembled model.
