Product Description

The U.S.S. Fletcher DD-445 was commissioned in June, 1942, with Lieutenant Commander William M. Cole in charge. With her first mission at Guadalcanal, she sank two Japanese destroyers and seriously damaged a third. Overall, she received fifteen battle stars for her WWII service, and five more during the Korean War. Kit features a detailed deck with movable gun turrets and depth charges, plus optional parts to build either the WWII version or the 1949 conversion with rocket launchers. Also includes decals with optional markings and a colorful flag sheet.
