Product Description
The 8th Tactical Fighter Wing (commonly known as Wolfpack) deployed to Ubon Air Base, Thailand, which became the U.S. Air Force's frontline base in Vietnam, in December 1965, at the beginning of the Vietnam War.
On January 2, 1967, Operation Bolo was launched to eliminate MiG fighter planes that posed a threat to the so-called "bombing of the North." In one day, seven new MiG-21 fighter planes, which had just been provided by the Soviet Union the previous fall, were shot down.
Furthermore, Wolfpack F-4Cs shot down a total of 22 MiG fighters before being converted to the D model.
The included decals reproduce three aircraft, including the aircraft flown by Wing Commander Colonel Olds.
