Product Description
This was the first domestically produced armored personnel carrier adopted by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force in 1960.
Over 420 units were produced, and variants such as those equipped with mortars were also created.
This kit features a reduced number of parts while still reproducing intricate details throughout, and the tracks (caterpillars) are assembled using a partially integrated link-and-length design.
From the time of its release until 2026, this kit remains the only precision scale model kit of this vehicle.
The markings included are for vehicles belonging to the 4th Tank Battalion (lightning bolt mark), which were deployed during the Unzen volcanic disaster, as well as those of the 10th Tank Battalion (orca mark) and the 12th Tank Battalion (tiger mark).
Finished size: 135mm (length) x 70mm (width) (approximate), 255 parts + decals
