- This vehicle was manufactured by the Japanese National Railways to replace the Kiha 35 series used on the Hachiko Line. The 0 series had a toilet and the 1000 series had no toilet, and were the first air-conditioned cars on the line, but only seven cars were produced (four 0 series and three 1000 series). After terminating its operation on the Hachiko Line, the Kiha 38 was transferred to the Kururi Line, where it was used for nearly 20 years, and after two paint changes, it was transferred to Myanmar, where it continues to be active today.

- We will be reproducing the Kiha 38 series, which was produced in limited numbers in 2014. This time, we will be adding the new and old JR East Kururi Line colors to the lineup. The stripe paint on both the Hachiko Line and Kururi Line colors will be sharply reproduced using a special printing machine.
