[About the actual machine]
-Based on Fwke Wolf Fw190, a German fighter equipped with an air-cooled engine, the engine was replaced with a liquid-cooled engine, and the D-9 responded to the lack of high altitude performance.
-Designed by Dr. Kurt Tank, the engine is equipped with a liquid-cooled 12-cylinder Jumo213A.
-The engine cooling radiator was equipped with a circular annular radiator on the front and nose of the engine, and at first glance, it seemed to be equipped with an air-cooled engine.
-Mass production began in the summer of 1944. It was sequentially deployed to each unit.
-Called Dora's nickname, his excellent climbing power and speed proved to be useful in the latter half of the war.
