[Ikoi / Nacoza / Journey / Nagoya / Birch]
-With the appearance of the 12 series as it is, the passenger car [Ikoi] which was remodeled into tatami mat and the joyful train with an observation car were the forerunners , Both were owned by JR Tokai.
-Hiroshima Railroad Bureau's [journey] was inherited by JR West Japan, [Nagoya] by the Tokyo North Railroad Administration Bureau, and [Shirakaba] by the Nagano Railroad Administration Bureau to JR East Japan.

[Salon Car Naniwa / Holiday Pal / Super Express Rainbow / Orient Saloon]
-The [Salon Car Naniwa], which was created by the Osaka Railway Management Bureau, has a European-style interior that sets it apart from the traditional seat cars, and a panoramic lounge car equipped with an all-glass observation room.
-[Holiday Pal] from the Hiroshima Railway Management Bureau is the only Joyful Train that was remodeled from the 20 series, and also has a remodeled lounge car from the 14 series dining car.
-Super Express Rainbow is a European wind passenger car remodeled from the 12 series and 14 series by the Tokyo North Railway Administration Bureau.
-The Orient Saloon was born in the Sendai Railway Management Bureau, and is a 12-seat tatami room passenger car with a European taste.

[Asuka / Resort & Spur / Mighty 49]
-The [Asuka], which was remodeled from the 12th and 14th series, is the first joyful train in JR West, and is a Japanese-style parlor passenger car with a Japanese body.
-The 14 series modified car called [Resort & Spur] was called because it was used for [Resort Hakuba] and [Spur]. A temporary train with a connection of the Mighty 49 type at the end was also operated.

[Ikiiki Salon Kinokuni / Yuu Yu Salon Okayama / Wakuwakudan]
