--This is a guide to the completely new mold kit 1/350 SSN-597 Tullibee from Micromill.
――Tullibee is an attack-type nuclear submarine of the US Navy named after Tullibee, which is a type of trout. Construction started in 1958, and it was launched and put into service in 1960.
--In 1956, the U.S. Academy of Sciences Underwater Warfare Commission, a joint public-private sector, proposed a submarine with three features: sonar with a large detection range, high quietness, and even deeper dive capability. Based on the 1958 plan, Tullibee was built as an attack-type test ship.
--Tullibee served in the Sixth Fleet, which covered the eastern half of the Mediterranean and Atlantic Oceans until his retirement in 1988.
