――The T-2 is an advanced training aircraft that has trained many elite pilots of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force that protects the skies of Japan.
――It was the first supersonic aircraft originally developed in Japan.
――First flight in 1971, operation started in 1974, and was active until 2006.
--In the meantime, the Technical Research and Development Institute of the Defense Agency has been developing a CCV machine based on the third prototype of the T-2 for research on fly-by-wire technology since the latter half of the 1970s.
――The first flight was successful in 1983, and various tests were conducted by the Defense Agency for two years from 1984 to 1986, and valuable data on the subsequent aircraft development was collected.
-The aircraft features different equipment from the T-2, such as horizontal / vertical canards and fairings that accommodate larger actuators under the main wings.
