--JR Kyushu ran SL Hitoyoshi on the Kagoshima Main Line (between Kumamoto and Tosu) for a limited time from May to November 3rd year of Reiwa as a support project for the Hisatsu Line and its lines.
――This work is the return version of [SL Hitoyoshi SL Edition] released in advance.
――In addition, unlike the regular formation of SL Hitoyoshi, DL is attached to the back of SL + 3 passenger cars in this support project, and it is a special formation by push-pull.
――On the outbound route, SL runs by towing a passenger car on the way from Kumamoto station, but since there is no turntable at Tosu station, which is the terminal station, DL departs from Tosu station on the return route.
――SL Hitoyoshi, who left Tosu Station after receiving a lot of see-off, splits from the Nagasaki Main Line and heads south in northern Kyushu.
――After a while, I ran in parallel while looking overhead at the Kyushu Shinkansen extending from Shin-Tosu Station. Crossing the Chikugo River, the largest river in Kyushu, you will reach Kurume, which prospered in the rubber industry.
――After Kurume, the idyllic Tsukushi Plain spreads out to Omuta.
――You can see the remnants of the city that was once moistened with coal mines from the traces of dedicated lines.
――When you cross the prefecture from Fukuoka and enter Kumamoto, the cultivated area expands along the line, and the sun gradually falls.
――By the time you arrive at Kumamoto Station, the final stop, the contrast between the artificial light and the darkness, which is completely lit by the sun, adds color to the end of your trip.
