Product Description

- The Barnegut-class was developed as a small, inexpensive seaplane carrier for air operations over vast seas.
- Build 30 ships.
-Barnegut was commissioned in 1941, and after trials, operated in the North Atlantic from 1942.
- Participated in Operation Torch in November 1942, acted in the South Atlantic from 1943, sank U-513 and U-199 with on-board aircraft by 1944, and moved to the Pacific from February 1945.
- Sold off in 1946.
