- The Panzer III was deployed in 1937 and continued to be improved as one of the German main battle tanks throughout World War II.
- Among the many types that have appeared, the N type is based on the J, L, and M types and is equipped with a short barrel 7.5 cm gun.
- 663 cars were produced from June 1942 to August 1943, and 37 cars were remodeled to N type based on the cars returned for repair until 1944.
- Ultimately, the total number of vehicles produced was 700.
- The main gun was originally planned to be equipped with this, but the Panzer IV was equipped with a long-barreled KwK40, resulting in a surplus 7.5cm KwK37L / 24 gun.
- This was installed in No. III J-type, L-type, and M-type.
- The N type, which was the final production type of the Panzer III that was born in this way, demonstrates its power in anti-tank battles, centering on fire support.
- It was also deployed in the heavy tank battalion to compensate for the shortage of Tiger tanks, and continued to be active on each front until the end of the war, including the Battle of Kursk, which is said to be the largest tank battle in history on the Eastern Front.
