- The L-ATV (Light Combat Tactical All-Terrain Vehicle), a 4×4 wheel drive multipurpose military vehicle developed in the United States, was launched in the JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle) project in 2015. It was adopted in August 2015 as a vehicle model.
- Approximately 49,000 L-ATVs are planned to be procured by the U.S. Army from 2019 to 2040, and 5,500 by the U.S. Marine Corps from 2020 to 2022.
- The M1278 is an advanced version based on the general-purpose JLTV-GP and equipped with an RWS (Remote Weapon System or Remote Weapon Station) such as the M153.
