- During World War II, the German army developed tank destroyers and assault guns that had fixed fighting compartments in their tank bodies and were equipped with more powerful guns.
- A tank destroyer using the body of the masterpiece V Panther tank is called Jagdpanther and is equipped with a powerful 71 caliber 8.8cm anti-tank gun PaK43/3.
- Mass production began in April 1944, but the initial vehicle was based on the Panther tank A type, and was later changed to a vehicle based on the G type.
- The initial production type based on the A type is called G1, and the type based on the G type is called G2.
- It fought hard from 1944 until the end of the war with its simple design that minimized damage caused by bullets.
