- This small pickup truck, whose name is pronounced LUV and pronounced Love, was sold from 1972 to 1982 as a Chevrolet vehicle.
- Actually, it was a badge engineering version of a car sold as Faster by Japan's Isuzu, which had a partnership with GM at the time, which is why it looks vaguely Japanese.
- At the time, GM did not have the know-how to manufacture such small pickups, but in 1982 it began manufacturing its first small pickup, the S10 series, and sales of the LUV were discontinued.
