- The Tornado is a multi-role attack aircraft jointly developed by the UK, West Germany, and Italy.
- It first flew in 1974, and began deployment and operation in 1979.
- The IDS attack aircraft, whose primary role was to carry out precision attacks at low altitudes, and the ADV air defense fighter aircraft, which was derived from this aircraft, were developed and deployed in combat by various countries from the 1980s.
- The aircraft features swing-wing configurations and two Turbo Union RB199-34R Mk103 engines.
