[About the actual car]
- During World War II, the United States enacted the Lend-Lease Act, lending military supplies to the Allied nations.
- They provided various supplies to Britain, the Soviet Union, China, and other nations. These supplies were a major driving force behind the Allied victory.
- Britain, which lagged behind in the development of land weapons, especially tanks, received over 17,000 M4 Sherman tanks on loan from the United States and used them on the North African front.
- Meanwhile, the 17-pounder gun, which had been under development, was completed in 1943. The British Army decided to replace the 75mm guns on the M4 Shermans they had been provided with with this powerful anti-tank gun.
- The turret has been modified to make room for the different sized 17-pounder gun, and a new loader's hatch has been added.
- The 17-pounder Sherman, nicknamed the Fireflare, entered service in 1944.
- They were active in Europe, including Normandy, until the end of the war.

[About the model]
- The model is a fully assembled and painted 1/72 scale reproduction of the VC type Firefly, which was modified based on the M4A4 type.
- The turret equipped with the long barrel of the 17-pounder gun is faithfully reproduced with a box shape at the rear of the turret and a newly installed hatch for the loader. You can enjoy the powerful appearance of the Firefly.
- Of course, the underside of the vehicle is also modeled, including the VVSS suspension and details of the underside of the vehicle.
- The track details are realistically reproduced, even down to the end connectors, enhancing the realism.
- The upper part of the vehicle body even has the weld marks of the armor plate reproduced. The basic paintwork is camouflage-painted, and the paintwork is also nicely dirty, giving it a realistic finish.
- The markings are based on those of the British 8th Armoured Brigade, 4th/7th Cavalry Regiment in France in 1944.
