Product Description

- Battleship Yamato sets out for Okinawa! Etched parts are included to recreate the final appearance [deck painted black]!

- The product is based on the Ten-Ichi-Go Operation (Okinawa Special Attack Operation) in April 1945.
- The ship's bottom and hull parts are separated at the waterline, allowing the creation of both an offshore model and a full hull model.
- In order to express the difference in shape from the product at the time of completion and in 1944, special parts are used.

- No painting required: Each part is colored with its own molding color, and some parts are painted with stickers to create different colors.
- No gluing required: The parts are designed to fit together easily, making assembly easy.
- The wooden deck is now a special part molded in a dark grey colour instead of the usual wood colour.
- The screw propeller is now a more realistic gold molded part than the previous beige color.
- Etching parts include handrails, ladders, cranes, chimneys, No. 13 radar, No. 21 radar, compass, watertight doors, and the chrysanthemum crest.

- The hull is divided into left and right halves at the waterline. It is molded in a special gray color that imitates the warship colors used at the Kure Naval Arsenal.
- Many of the portholes are specially designed to appear blocked, with the open ones being concavely carved and the closed ones being convexly carved, resulting in a sharp reproduction.
- The external electrical wiring attached to the side of the ship is faithfully reproduced, even down to the fastening points.
- The bottom of the ship is made into a one-piece part using a slide mold, eliminating the need for seams.
- The bulbous bow at the bow is realistically reproduced with three-dimensional molding.
- The rudder is a square shape, different from that of the third ship, Shinano, and is three-dimensional. The rudder surface is detailed with even the seams of the steel plates being expressed.
- The main gun can be elevated and rotated. Realized both a minimum number of parts and realistic modeling.
- The 46cm main barrel is open using a slide mold.
- In order to recreate the additional machine gun turrets on the No. 2 and No. 3 main gun canopies, special parts are provided for both the main gun canopy and the machine gun turrets.
- The secondary gun is rotatable and the barrel and turret are integrated into one piece structure.

- The bridge is made using a split and slide mold to minimize the seams between the parts and to make the parts one piece.
- The No. 22 radar on both sides of the bridge is a special item that reproduces its relocated appearance.
- The 15-meter rangefinder and compass are designed to be rotatable.
- Special parts are provided to recreate the additional personnel waiting area and the expanded signal station deck behind the bridge.

- The chimney is a left-right combination type, and the steam exhaust pipe, whistle pipe, and monkey ladder are all reproduced as a single unit.
- The top cap (lattice) is removed, creating a very realistic design with a sense of depth.
- The mast is a two-piece structure, designed to integrate the No. 13 radar that was installed at that time.

- Two aircraft types are included with special dark green color parts.
- One A6M Zero (three-seater) floatplane and one A6M Zero observation aircraft.
- The panel lines are recessed and the propeller is integrated with the fuselage using a slide mold, resulting in precise expression.
- Comes with pre-cut stickers with excellent adhesion that allow you to easily paint the details.

- Includes waterproof canvas for the main and secondary guns, a walkway behind the No. 3 main gun, the naval ensign, and the Hinomaru markings for aircraft carriers.
- Also included are the flag of Irrational Law and Power, the Chrysanthemum Water mark next to the chimney, and the flag of the last commander, Lieutenant General Ito Seiichi.

- Comes with an inconspicuous black pedestal designed with straight lines for display after completion.
- Bonus adhesive parts are included for users who want a more precise feel.
- Bonus parts include 78 machine gun ammunition boxes, a mast support, and an aerial support on the secondary gun canopy.
- The box art, by Yoshiyuki Takakago, shows the Yamato sailing at high speed under clear skies.
- Molded parts are available in 6 colors (Kure Naval Arsenal color, ship bottom color, black, dark gray, gold, and dark green).

- Finished size: 379x60x77mm (excluding display stand)
