[About the actual car]
- The King Tiger, a heavy tank equipped with a highly powerful 88mm gun as its main gun, was completed in 1943 during World War II and began to be deployed in combat from 1944.
- The main gun was the 71-caliber 88mm tank gun KwK43, which had a longer barrel than the Tiger I.
- Its power frightened the Allied forces.
- In addition, the turret had 180mm of frontal armor and the hull had a maximum armor of 150mm, making it powerful enough to withstand any Allied anti-tank guns.
- Although Henschel produced less than 500 King Tigers by the end of the war, those deployed on the Western and Eastern Fronts proved to be an overwhelming force against the Allied forces.
- They also fought bravely in the Battle of the Bulge, which took place in the Ardennes Forest from December 1944 to January 1945.
