- The Tatra T57 was produced by Tatra in Czechoslovakia from 1932 onwards, and is popularly known as "Hadymurška" (meaning "fast little lizard"). All models are two-door compact cars with a spine-type chassis and a drive shaft in a central structural tube.
- Like the previous model, the Tatra T12, this car had a streamlined front styling and was equipped with a 1155cc, 18hp, 180° fork angle, overhead fan-cooled 4-cylinder V-type engine. It was introduced in 1931.
- In 1936, the Tatra T57 was redesigned with an open front grille and the engine output was increased to 20hp, becoming the 57A, and in 1938, the engine displacement was enlarged to 1,256cc and the output was increased to 25hp, becoming the 57B.
- The military version of the 57K was introduced in 1941, and by 1945 over 5,000 had been produced.
- Tatra continued to produce the 57K after the end of WWII until 1947 and the 57B until 1949.
