- [Godzilla (1995) Last Scene] is a garage kit released by Yuji Sakai Modeling Studio as a Heisei Memorial piece in 2019, the milestone year that straddles the Heisei and Reiwa eras.
- This work will now join the popular "Sakai Yuji Sculpting Collection," a series of pre-painted, finished soft vinyl products released using the same prototype as the garage kit.
- As the name suggests, this work has been beautifully recreated by Yuji Sakai to depict the shocking, heroic figure of Godzilla roaring in the backlight in the final scene of the film "Godzilla vs. Destroyah" (released in 1995).
- Godzilla (1995)'s distinctive features, such as his broad chest and strong legs, have been faithfully recreated, bringing to life the powerful presence seen in the film.
- As you may know, Mr. Sakai participated in the film "Godzilla vs. Destroyah" as a sculpting staff member, and the image of Godzilla (1995) that he saw up close on the set at the time has been faithfully reproduced based on his treasured photographs, making this a work that is filled with his special love.
- Godzilla vs. Destroyah will celebrate its 30th anniversary on December 9, 2024.
- Be sure to enjoy the beauty of this soulful sculpture, which recreates the majestic final scene to the fullest extent possible.
- This time too, the original cast was converted into wax and a master mold was created.
- The products are made only from the master mold, minimizing wear and tear caused by turning them into soft vinyl and focusing on reproducing the fine details as much as possible.
