- This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces a modern Russian fighter, the Sukhoi Su-33 Sea Flanker.

[About the actual machine]
- The Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker is a multi-role fighter currently operated by the Russian Air Force and Navy.
- Its carrier-based fighter version is the Su-33 Sea Flanker, which has been in service with the Russian Navy since 1998.
- The Su-27 is an all-weather interceptor fighter developed by Russia's Sukhoi Design Bureau for the Soviet Air Defense Force PVO Strany.
- The prototype first flew in 1977.
- The production prototype made its first successful flight in 1981.
- The carrier-based fighter version was slightly modified, with twin front tires and an arresting hook for landing on ships, and the prototype made its first flight in August 1987.
- It was deployed and put into operation in 1998.
