Moto Laverda, an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1949, produced the Laverda 1000, which was equipped with a powerful air-cooled DOHC 3-cylinder engine, from 1973 to 1988 and was well received. However, Massimo Laverda, the president at the time, developed the Laverda V6 1000cc, equipped with an even more powerful V6 engine, for the American market.
The Laverda V6 was equipped with a water-cooled DOHC 90-degree V6 engine developed with the cooperation of Maserati engineers, producing 140 horsepower (11,800 rpm) and a top speed of 285 km/h.
The Laverda V6 competed in races in 1978, but was forced to give up racing after 1979 due to rule changes, and only two cars were manufactured between 1977 and 1978.
This is the world's first full kit made of high-quality resin to model the Laverda V6 1000cc.
This precise and accurate model was created based on thorough research of the actual car, which is preserved at the Moto Laverda Museum with permission from the Laverda family.
