A detailed replica of the nuclear guided missile cruiser, the USS Virginia. A fortress on the seas comes to life.

Commissioned in 1976 as the lead ship of the U.S. Navy's Virginia-class nuclear-powered guided-missile cruisers, the Virginia is a warship that has performed important missions for the U.S. Navy, including the naval bombardment of Lebanon in 1983 and the Tomahawk missile attack on Iraq in Operation Desert Storm in 1991.
Although she was decommissioned in 1994, her achievements and the Virginia name are still remembered by many U.S. Navy fans.
This is a smart kit that makes extensive use of slide molds to keep the number of parts to a minimum, and also has as many fine details as possible sculpted to reduce the stress of assembly.
The complex structure and the piping and ladders throughout the building are a highlight of the model. It was renovated in the 1980s to recreate the state in which Tomahawk missiles were installed.
The hull bottom is divided into two parts: full hull and waterline specifications.
Stand parts are also included for the full hull version.
