Product Description
The Hooni Pegasus was a monster machine based on a narrow Porsche, packed with a 4.0-liter flat-six twin-turbo engine producing 1,400 horsepower and 4WD, and was supposed to be driven by the legendary Ken Block and run up Pikes Peak.
Ken Block was an American professional driver who started out in skateboarding and motocross, and went on to compete in WRC, WRX, and drifting, and was also a businessman who was involved in the founding of DC Shoes.
This car was developed by Block's Hoonigan Racing Division in collaboration with BBi Autosports in order to win the 100th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC).
The body color is a homage to the classic Porsche 917/20 'Pink Pig', combined with Partnership's Mobil 1 High Flying Pegasus.
He was unable to compete in the race due to engine trouble and was aiming for the PPIHC the following year, but Brock passed away in January 2023 in a snowmobile accident.
At the 2023 PPIHC, his daughter Leah, a rally driver, took her father's place and drove to the finish line without a timed race.
Spark Model has now modeled this machine in two scales: 1/12 and 1/64, in addition to the 1/18 and 1/43 scales already released.
This is a must-have even if you're not a Ken Block fan.
