The Zero Fighter Model 32 had its engine replaced from the previous Sakae Model 12 to the Sakae Model 21, which had a two-speed supercharger.
This resulted in a completely redesigned cowling shape, which significantly improved both maximum speed and climbing power.
Another distinctive feature is the new wing planform, in which the wingtips have been cut back by 50cm to improve maneuverability.
This change significantly altered the aircraft's silhouette, and immediately after its deployment it stood out so much that it was mistaken for a 'new aircraft' by the Allied forces.
This product is molded in three colors: gray for the fuselage, wings, engine, and propeller, black for the cowling and legs, and yellow-green for the interior of the aircraft.
The kit includes decals for the aircraft flown by ace Ito Kiyoshi, who was active in Guadalcanal and New Guinea and shot down 30 planes, as well as aircraft belonging to the aircraft carrier Zuikaku Squadron, and the aircraft of ace Hagiri Matsuo, also known as "Bearded Hagiri."
