The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's multipurpose vehicle, the Type 73 light truck, fully demonstrates its versatility and mobility, from rear support to the front lines of combat.
It has been adopted as the primary equipment for division reconnaissance units for many years, and has also been seen equipped with a 12.7mm M2 (caliber 50) heavy machine gun for surveillance purposes during reconnaissance missions.
This kit reproduces the 12.7mm heavy machine gun M2 from the base.
In addition to the heavy machine gun, it also comes with a Type 69 vehicle radio, which is a three-dimensional replica based on the real thing.
The marking decals reproduce vehicles belonging to the 10th Reconnaissance Unit at Kasugai Garrison, the 3rd Reconnaissance Unit at Senno Garrison, and the 34th Infantry Regiment at Itazuma Garrison.
Also included is a variation of a vehicle of unknown affiliation, but sporting a striking two-tone camouflage pattern.
A set of individual number font decals for license plates is also included, allowing for a high degree of freedom in finishing.
