Product Description
6th century, Frankish Kingdom. Sister Basina, a nun of Neustrian royal blood, is bullied and oppressed by her two step-sisters. Nine years ago, her stepmother Fredegund burned her biological mother and brother to death, but Basina endured a life of suffering alone, guided by the teaching, "Forgive your enemies." Then, Princess Clotilda of the Kingdom of Paris appears before her. The encounter between the two leads to a major rebellion that engulfs the entire convent. This story is based on the historical facts that inspired the fairy tale Cinderella.
