[About the prototype]
Following the A8 series, which will be introduced in 2024, the 1A series will be introduced in 2026 as a new general-purpose vehicle for the Osaka Line and Nagoya Line.
We were the first to produce a model of the 8A series, and will continue to produce the 1A series.
The body is almost identical to the 8A series, but the coloring is blue.
It consists of 4 cars: 2M2T.
Measures have been taken to address the continuous gradient sections of the Osaka Line, and a speed-reducing regenerative brake has been added.
For this reason, the two motor cars are equipped with resistors for dynamic braking, which is the external difference from the 8A series.
Additionally, the third car is the first to feature a barrier-free multi-purpose toilet in a regular train on the Osaka and Nagoya lines.
[Kit Overview]
The front is missing and the body is made of etched parts.
The distinctive front is detailed and sharply finished, created by attaching a nickel silver etching plate to a frame made of recycled plastic.
A skirt and fall prevention canopy are included as separate parts.
Rooftop components such as air conditioners and underfloor equipment are made of white metal and are included in the kit.
Differences from the 8A series, such as the regenerative braking resistor and toilet tank, have been carefully recreated.
Inside the car, we designed a part for turning on the lights that also serves as the driver's seat.
This is a part that makes LED headlights possible.
Powertrain is not included in the kit.
Other items required include pantographs, bogies, couplers, etc.
The KD327 bogie frame is sold separately.
The pantograph used is the Imon PT71.
