Having successfully developed the fifth-generation fighter jet, the J-20, China is currently working on developing two sixth-generation fighter jets.
A twin-engine, lambda-wing aircraft, which was spotted around the same time as the triple-engine, delta-wing J-36, is believed to be being developed by China's state-owned aircraft manufacturer, Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC), and is unofficially designated the J-50.
