Chevrolet was the first American company to resume full-scale production after World War II in 1946.
The first model to be produced was a minor change model for the 1942 model year.
With the minor change, the car was given the new Chevrolet Stylemaster/Fleetmaster series name, which became very popular.
These models were produced in 1946, 1947, and 1948, with the Stylemaster offering a two-door sedan, business coupe, five-seater coupe, and four-door sports sedan body, while the Fleetmaster offered two-door and four-door sedans, two-door coupes, two-door convertibles, and a four-door station wagon, as well as two-door and four-door fastbacks and aero sedans.
All engines are 3.5-liter inline six-cylinders.
